Pre-Immersion Activities

Participants were asked to complete all five activities before March 25:

  1. Read American Pain: How a Young Felon and His Ring of Doctors Unleashed America’s Deadliest Drug Epidemic, by John Temple.
  2. View Nadine Burke Harris’s TED Talk about adverse childhood experiences.
  3. View an introduction to Cabin Creek Health’s medication-assisted treatment program.
  4. Complete the SPENT online exercise.
  5. Read Hampton, C.; Buckley, J.; Auld, M. E.; and Drewiske, K. (2019), A Nation in Crisis: A Health Education Approach to Preventing Opioid Addiction.
